An introduction (based on Scholastic's Festival Facts Holi) ton the Hindu festival of Holi. To be used in conjunction with the story of Prahlad and Holika. Holi is the festival of colours, and is celebrated with the throwing of coloured powder and water.

An acrostic snow poem and a rain shape poem. To be used for teaching poetry or as a display. I designed these and the supporting images as a homework. The Powerpoint document has 6 pages of each poem, so can easily be printed on a handout to be cut up for each child's homework book. Assembly script based on Cleversticks by Bernard Ashley. The story is based on a Chinese child who is new to the class and doesn't speak much English. He feels withdrawn as everyone has a special talent apart from him, until he shows the class how to use chopsticks. A nice story/play to do as part of Chinese New Year.

I have written three extended stories to some Oxford Reading Tree Stage 1 stories. I could not find the original extended stories to these, although they may exist. The stories are for: Who is it?, Six in a bed, and Fun at the beach. I have also attached some other original extended stories, written by Roderick Hunt, that I have typed out, ready for a Shared Reading session.

A board game designed to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee. Game board to be enlarged to A3. Children to roll a dice and each time they land on a square, pick up a Royal family card. If they land on a crown card, take a Queen card. Queen cards encourage children to take or give away money. To start with 5p in pennies. The winner is the person who ends up with all of the Royal family on their game card. If able, children to then add up how much money they have accrued. Could even extend by asking children to change their coins for the lowest equivalent coins.
